Allied Health Recruitment Australia is a bespoke Allied Health recruitment consultancy founded and run by partners Tara Reynolds, Occupational Therapist and Clinical Recruitment Consultant, and Hayden Calderwood, General Manager. With a long history working in the health, disability and human services sectors, in 2018 they founded Adaptability Therapy, a leading multi-disciplinary private practice operating around South East Queensland. Adaptability Therapy grew to over 80 team members around Queensland by 2022.

Hayden Calderwood
General Manager

Prior to taking on the role of Chief Operations Officer at Adaptability Therapy, Hayden worked in communications, engagement and project roles in the human services, health and NDIS space across the public health and non-government sector. As State Communications Manager for a national charity and Marketing Lead for large non-government agencies throughout NDIS rollouts, Hayden has wide-ranging experience particularly with NDIS operations and marketing. At Adaptability Therapy, Hayden managed and oversaw the administrative and customer relations team, billing and account departments, People and Culture department, all recruitment, marketing, fleet management, IT and day-to-day operations.

Hayden appreciates the work that goes into running a business and understands the challenge of finding great team members who fit with your culture. He is passionate about helping businesses grow and expand, and helping therapists find roles where they can thrive and are a good match for the culture and expectations.

Tara Reynolds
Occupational Therapist & Clinical Recruitment Consultant

Before establishing Adaptability Therapy, Tara worked in a diverse range of roles as an Occupational Therapist, including hospital, disability, mental health and community settings. As the Founder and Managing Director, Tara has steered Adaptability Therapy from a solo-Therapist practice in early 2019 to a multi-million dollar business of over 75 people in 2022. She has overseen the development and growth of a large Mental Health OT service within the practice, as well as the expansion of the practice with the addition of Physiotherapy, Speech Pathology and Allied Health Assistant services.

Tara has a strong understanding of the health landscape within South East Queensland, and the nuances of working across various sectors. She enjoys working with people to help them find their niche and what they are passionate about, and is happy to share her knowledge and experience about working in the various areas of Occupational Therapy she has had experience in.
